As the older twin, I've always known Rachel's strength on the outside and her softness at the center. She feeds off the energy you give her, and when you truly listen, you see just how deep her heart runs. Growing up together has been one of my life's greatest gifts.

Maani is not just my sister but my best friend for life. She is the one I lean on when life feels heavy (and I'd like to think vice versa) and as with my other sisters listens to my endless rambling. Maani cares so deeply for everyone she loves with so much grace and a touch of bossiness like it's a full time job. She will notice if a picture frame is tilted by inches but that's what makes her so endearing. I love her to bits, her presence makes me feel like I never have to face the world alone. Wishing her all the joy and love as she embarks on this journey of marriage with Gad.

I met Gad late in 2019 and we quickly became very good friends. When we started sharing office space at Omuka restaurant, over time he became more of a brother to me. He has been a constant person I have relied on ever since even when I lost my only parent. That was such a low point for me. I would confide in Gad, and he kept checking in on me until I landed back on my feet.So Gad, I wish you the very best on this wonderful journey with your best friend Rachel. Gad Agaba is that big brother everyone prays for, and yes, prayers often do come true. Having met much later on during worklife, it was evident that we were both cut from the same cloth.

One of my fondest memories with Rachel was a night out in October 2022. She had already told me she was moving to Mbarara so I thought I had accepted it.But that night, she casually reminded me, “Eh, I’m leaving tomorrow morning.” I don’t know what came over me, the reality hit all at once. Before I knew it, tears just started rolling down my face. Even Rachel was surprised. Then she also ended up crying, so we just stood there, two adults confused about our own emotions.She still laughs about that moment every time she brings it up.But what I love is that the distance I feared never changed anything. She left the next morning, but our friendship never went anywhere.
